Our Mystery Valley Tour will take you to see amazing Ancient Anasazi dwellings, petroglyphs, and pictographs. You will see beautiful natural arches and panoramic viewpoints. Our guides are local to Monument Valley and would teach you about the Anasazi People, Navajo culture, history, and traditions as you journey through your tour and present you with traditional music underneath a beautiful natural arch.

Absolutely amazing! Sean was our guide, he shared so much about his culture and the stories for each of the stops on the tour. We even got to hear him play the flute which was magical. I’d highly recommend this tour. We did the all day tour.

The tour is amazing! Ask for Will, he is great, has wonderful stories, knowledgeable. Very funny. He takes you to spots not accessible to the general public. Highly recommend. Thanks Will!!!!

We chose a private experience with Gary from Spirit Tours. We spent an incredible day exploring Monument Valley in the morning and Mystery Valley in the afternoon. Because of the weather, we went in an enclosed vehicle which enabled Gary to to use the truck to climb over rocks and that was a first! Guides in MV must follow a prescribed route with some small variations. Because of Navajo protocols, there is not much time out of the vehicle for exploring by foot. Still, there is much to be gained through experiencing the size of the Monuments, the color, and the surrounding desert. Mystery Valley is much smaller in scale-smaller rock formations, different colors and textures, a greater variety of plant life, and the surviving dwellings of the Anasazi made this feel more intimate. The petroglyphs are amazing as is the quantity and quality of the pottery shards, and the homes themselves. Gary brought his flute and drum and played them for us in Mystery Valley. He is a singer and healer so our conversations wove in and out of Navajo and non Navajo life. I highly recommend this excursion.

Navajo Spirit Tours is well worth booking. The guides generously share their knowledge, stories and heart wisdom in ways that create a sense of being nurtured. The tour to Mystery Valley with Will Cowboy was inspirational. We visited beautiful landscapes and arches, experienced Navajo songs and spent time at the ancient Anasazi dwellings in a land of possibilities. Will shared his family’s fabulous stories, and humour, with knowledge and a love for the land and people. We can't wait to read his book one day!

This was an experience of a lifetime! Larson was our guide, and he was so knowledgeable! He explained everything from plant life to rock formations to Navajo customs and language to history of the area. He played the flute and was a skillful driver! He was simply the best, and made our tour one of the best experiences of our life!!
