This tour was really excellent! I recommend it to anyone! We took the six day Private Pacific Classic Varanasi Ganges Tour including Delhi, Agra and Jaipur . Shakul Garg was easy to work with and handled all arrangements. The sites were amazing and everything we hoped to see. Pacific Classic tours provided a private driver and private tour guides in each city. Our driver, Sunil Shukla was with us from Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and back to Delhi. He was the best private driver I’ve had over multiple trips. He was so helpful and courteous and made us feel safe with all of the traffic. I appreciated his effort and really liked him. We took tours in English. Our guides were easy to understand. In Delhi and Agra our guide was Dilip Singh. He was intelligent, interesting and knew how to get us the iconic sites we wanted to see. In Jaipur our guide was Rajesh Singh. Rajesh was wonderful. He was knowledgeable and so helpful. He was passionate about the history and the people in Jaipur. He went out of his way to help me with requests I made. We enjoyed getting to know him. We chose to fly to Varanasi. Our guide there was Gaurav. He knew so much about Hindu practices. He was patient and answered so many of our questions. We felt lucky to have him.

Pacific Classic Tours created an amazing custom trip for me. They were highly responsive from my very first WhatsApp message until my departure 7 days later. I was driven by the excellent Mr. Kuldeep from Delhi airport to Agra and 4 star Hotel Grand Mercure. I was picked up early the next morning to experience Taj Mahal with a super knowledgeable guide, Mr. Mahesh. He also took me to Fort Agra and a marble inlay studio where I saw ancient marble work practiced the same way as it was to create the Taj. I was then driven to Ranthambore Tiger Reserve with lodging at the 4 star Tiger Den Resort. Went on 2 safaris the next day and with prayer from Mr. Kuldeep, saw an amazing 6 tigers! The next morning we drive back to Delhi and I grabbed a flight to Varanasi. I was provided with another excellent driver and guide, Mr. Devenbra. He guided ne through throngs of pilgrims to the Ganga Aarti ceremony. Magical. Next morning we wee back at the Ganges to take a boat ride at sunrise past funeral pyres and morning bathing rituals. Also toured very traditional silk weaving studio and had an extensive tour of Sarnath, where the Buddha gave his first sermon. Flew back to Delhi and drove to Rishikesh in Himalayan foothills. Was provided with another great guide, Mr. Raj who showed me around the Shiva temples, ashrams, suspension bridges, holy cave worshiping sites and more in the beautiful yoga capital. Phenomenal trip start to finish! Totally taken care of by people who really care and are knowledgeable.

I found Shakul, from PCTI very helpful in organising our tour and making necessary changes along the way. We wanted to extend our tour beyond Varanasi and be taken to the Nepali border. We also wanted to vary our tour by catching an overnight sleeper train from Agra to Varanasi. He was helpful in providing advice and arranging all our bookings. We made a mistake with our Indian Visas, thinking we could get them on arrival (as we did last time we visited India). As we arrived a few days later than expected, Shakul was very helpful and generous when reorganising our trip which required less time in Delhi and missing Jaipur. Each of the PCTI representatives in each city were very helpful and attentive, one even staying with us late into the night on Agra station, waiting for our very much delayed train. The guides in each place were very knowledgable and helpful. My only criticism is that each guide seem to push us towards a shopping outlet or emporium of their choice where you would watch a demonstration then be pressured into buying some goods. We would have liked them to be more upfront about this as it was not included in the itinerary and would have preferred shopping in a less sterile environment at market stalls or similar. Unfortunately, we were unable to visit Old Delhi (due to the street riots) which meant that we were mostly visiting historical buildings in Delhi and Agra and felt we were missing something of the Indian culture. My favourite parts of the trip, apart from the Taj Mahal, were where we got talk to and see everyday Indian people. Our first opportunity was when our train from Agra to Varanasi was delayed by 7 hours (not PCTI fault, just the Indian train system). As we did not arrive in Varanasi until late morning, we had the opportunity to chat with the other Indian people travelling with us, made easier because one young Indian man studying overseas spoke very good English. The second opportunity was on our car trip from Varanasi to the Nepal border that took us through many small rustic villages where we saw people going about their daily lives away from the tourists. Apart from these interesting scenes, this car trip was a very slow and frustrating journey, as the road seems to be in constant repair for most of the way. One of the things that made this car journey so enjoyable was our wonderful driver, Bablu, whose driving we trusted completely and who took care of us so well, including showing us how to cross the border.

I signed up for a private solo trip for 6 days in India. I was met at the airport by Mr. K.K. Sharma at 2am! He was not only my transport from the airport but my safe transportation between all the cities. In each city the guide changed but the one constant was Mr. K.K. He was helpful in all aspects of the trip outside of transportation. He was my tour guide in the road between cities and even assisted in tracking down custom earrings I had made. I would recommend this trip to those who are traveling alone or with others.

We booked this trip several months ago to see the highlights of Northern India. We recently completed it and I am happy to say that we were not disappointed! We were picked up from the airport and started the tour immediately. Over the course of the 6 days we had 3 different tour guides, some serious, some funny, but all were very knowledgeable. The hotels they picked for us were clean and comfortable and the food was amazing. We also were taken to shops where we spent way too much money. The prices were reasonable that is why we spent so much! The transportation was also great. We had a 10 seater van that was air-conditioned. Our driver was also very skilled and we felt safe with him. Thank you for such an amazing experience
