I liked the tour but the company made a huge mistake and didn't take responsibility. We had Really AWFUL experience with domestic FLIGHTS booked by the company. The company didn't pay enough attention to the travel details. In particular, our flights from jaipur to varanasi were cancelled one month before and they didn't realize, so when we arrived at the airport we found out the huge problem we had. The worst thing is that the company lied about being notified about the flight cancellation and the bank transfer refund. They told us to book new flights which they would have refunded us. We trusted them and we bought 3 flight tickets for 500€ ( thinking that the company was honest and professional). At the end, the company refused to refund us the new tickets. They refunded only the cancelation of the previous tickets which they actually had received by the airline company, despite lying about receiving any refund at the beginning. In conclusion, the company didn't take responsibility for their mistake and refused to refund us the total amount of the new tickets, lying to us... so that we lost around 300€ and one whole day in the airport. Apart from the stress and anger caused by the company.
We booked a private tour of the Golden triangle + varanasi. The tour was : - Good taxi driver organization - the travel company replied our calls - some guides were not fluent in English so communication was really difficult - 3 star Accomodation is low standard for a European tourist, upgrade is advisable even though this company charges too much - Really AWFUL experience with domestic FLIGHTS booked by the company. Amazing Private Tour, Incredible memories. We were lucky enough to have the most wonderful driver - Rajesh, who not only welcomed us into his life, but his village and family home as well where we were treated to Indian cuisine, customs and treated like royalty. World Travel Experts gave us the holiday if a lifetime, staying at the best luxurious hotels, dining at fantastic restaurants, tasting the greatest variety of local cuisine. Everything was organised to perfection. We have no complaints, everything was perfect. If you want to see and taste the very best of India, I highly recommend WTX to plan your holiday of a lifetime.
In tourradar there were more options of tour to choose from. I am glad that I choose the golden triangle with Varanasi because it covered most of the north India that I wanted to visit. It is a requirement to pay the travel insurance which cost around $60 per person. World Travel Experiences (WTX) is the tour company that took care us very well. They were very prompt to answer any questions and concerns. They took care of us since the beginning until the very end. The drivers were very polite and respectful, and they know how to navigate the heavily traffic roads. Satvir was our driver and he was very polite and on time every time. The tour guides were speaking very good English, knowledgeable and resourceful. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and at the same time covering the Itinerary. Maheap in Delhi, Virendra Singh in Jaipur, Muin Ali in Fetehpur Sikri, Zuheap in Agra and last, not the least Sathesh in Varanasi. Also Sujeet in Varanasi helped us until we board the plane. Most of the hotel rooms were above the standard. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet and overnight first class AC train to Varanasi. WTX even arranged an hotel room for 4 hours for us to rest free of charge until we board on the Varanasi train. It is advisable to keep 500, 100, 50,20,10 rupees for tipping and some change for wash room. I saved some money using my OCI card which I used for Indian entrance fees otherwise foreigner entrance fees were very high. Don't completely depend on your foreign credit card because it doesn't work in many places unless if it is an expensive hotels or other expensive places. The handicraft places are expensive but you can be comfortable that it is good quality and no bargain. Every day in the evening we explore ourselves the places nearby our hotel room which gave some idea about the local culture. Our tour guide in Varanasi named Sathesh made us sit close to Ganges Aarathi which we felt very special and enjoyed so much. Elephant ride and Ganges boat ride was awesome. Taj Mahal is the one place we stand in awe!! Overall it was a great memorable vacation. Thank you tourradar and WTX.
We had a fantastic experience and believe this is a fantastic way to see the Golden Triangle plus Varanasi. Our driver was fantastic throughout the whole trip and we were very pleased to be using local tour guides in each city. The showers weren’t always warm and the overnight train to Varanasi was certainly an experience. But hey, we didn’t travel to India to expect Western standards of living! We loved the food everywhere that we went and overall had a great cultural experience.
