The battle field was the most rememberable of the cruise. I paid for the dinner/lunch but did not get to eat. Once we embarked to go see the battle field they stated serving the food which I think did not make any since. So do we eat and not go see the battle field or stay and eat and not see the battlefield. So me and my husband did not get a chance to eat, because when we returned to the ship there was no food. I did not like that. If I knew that, I would not have purchased a ticket with food. I feel cheated and should get a refund for food we did not get to eat.

The historian narrator was superb as was the natl parks narrator. Both of them used historical references mixed with anecdotes very well.

The boat ride is so relaxing. Get there early if you want a shaded seat. Probably an hour early to line up would be ideal. The MC, Charles is fantastic and on the way back tells the whole story of hurricane Katrina. I could have done without the hour stop in the middle for people explore the battlefield. Such a fun experience.

I was moved by Charles’ telling of Katrina. It was amazing to hear a locals account. Besides the guide, the drinks were good and ye ride was smooth and informative.
