This is a small airboat experience through the swamps and bayous of Louisiana. We offer door to door round trip transportation. You'll learn about the swamps, bayous and the local history. Small airboats allow you to get deeper into the swamp in inches of water. We have the nicest fleet in Louisiana and your tour is adjacent to the Jean Lafitte National Park.

Get ready for an exciting adventure! Take a thrilling ride through the marshland and bayous of Louisiana, accessible only by airboat. We have been offering our airboat tours since 2001. Each vessel is ready to take you to the far reaches of the bayous by using Chevy 454, 450 horsepower engines. While New Orleans Airboat Tours, LLC is located just 30 minutes from downtown New Orleans, we're just about as far as you can get from a prefab, artificial experience. The Louisiana wetlands are nature's amusement parks. Our swamp tours are authentic adventures – thrilling, enlightening and, most importantly, real. Your ride is one hour but the rest of the time is allotted for transportation.

I’ve taken swamp tours with four different companies in and and around New Orleans and New Orleans Airboat tour was the best! Airboats are faster and smaller so you see so much more than the larger tour boats. We booked a “small boat tour” and had the boat and captain to ourselves. Captain Matt is part of what sets this company apart. He is authentic, born and raised locally, and very knowledgeable about the area, the wildlife, flora, and the eco system. He can “read the group” and customized our tour to our interests. He added a lot of humor and was super fun without trying too hard. It was a cool April 10am trip but the gators were very active and we saw dozens. We all got an opportunity hold a little baby alligator who was super sweet. We used their optional transportation which was a 12 passenger van and had only one other pickup, and the drive to Bayou Barataria is only 30-40 minutes from French Quarter. Communication was great and driver was right on time. While making my reservation on the phone with Russell he was super patient and helpful. He also mentioned their impeccable safety rating, and quality/maintenance of their boats. Everyone in our group said the Airboat Tour was the highlight of their vacation to NoLa.

This was the most amazing adventure on the swamp! Our tour guide, Matt, was so knowledgeable AND funny! He made us laugh and told us all about the flora and fauna of the Louisiana swamp. Would definitely recommended AND go back!

This is something I wanted to do since I was a young boy . I was not disappointed, both my wife and I had the best experience and we both feel having Matt has our guide out it over the top . Had a great tour with Captain Derrick. He was knowledgeable and fun. He jumped off the boat at one point and grabbed a small gator and brought it on the boat to share with the guests, even letting those who wanted to hold it to do so safely. It was awesome to see the beauty of the bayou up close.
