Was on my list to see, so the opportunity came up. The story line was very good as was the Broadhurst Theater where the show was. The actor who played the older ND did a great job. The actress who played ND's 2nd wife can really sing. I did not care for the actor playing ND through his life. I give him an OK for effort. Nothing close to that ND sound. My wife said it best: Seems in NYC (8.5 Millon people) they could find a better person to play ND. If you're a fan, it is still worth seeing.

This show is absolutely wonderful! We were a group of nine and we all fully enjoyed it. Nick Fradiani is terrific as “young Neil.” All nine of us commented on how emotional we were at the end of the show. Some of us even were moved to tears. This is one you don’t want to miss! Our only complaint was the theater. No elevator and tons of stairs. And the worst part is the seats. All of us ranging in height from 5’2” to 5’11” sat with our knees locked and pressed into the seat in front of us. It was horribly uncomfortable.

Can’t praise this highly enough such a wonderful feel good experience if you shut your eyes you’d think it was actually Neil Diamond! Thoroughly enjoyed it!

What an enjoyable time throughout the whole performance. Interesting storyline to showcase old favorite songs. Nick Fradiani was wonderful. I was not impressed with him on American Idol but here he must have worked very hard to sound like Neil Diamond instead of himself. The songs came alive! The entire audiance joined in singing with different songs and everyone had smiles on their faces (except for one sad time). I am so glad we chose to see it before it left Broadway.

I spent spring break in NYC with my 13 year old son. In 7.5 days we saw 12 shows. This one was not originally on the list, but due to its many available matinees we were able to squeeze it in. I had no expectations for this show, we rushed it and got 5th row seats for $99. I thought no matter what it was going to be a fun was to spend a Thursday afternoon. This show was Amazing! like one of the top 3 shows we saw and was a delightful glimpse into the life of Neil. I will start by saying that this is not just a random Jukebox musical with Neil's songs in it. It is a heartfelt glimpse into the MAN, audiences are taken on a journey of self discovery, peaks of success and the valleys of fighting depression along the way. This show was Broadway magic, allowing us all an opportunity to see behind the curtain, to tell an human story that just so happened to have an amazing soundtrack. The set is top notch and full of surprises, dancing electric and the leads are not just impersonating, but they are becoming. this show is closing this summer and if you get a chance go see it you should. I don't think I am the target age demo for this show, but it did not matter, good theatre is good theatre even without the prerequisite of being a Neil Diamond Fan.
