We had a wonderful experience. Doris is lovely and very knowledgeable. The jazz club of Patrick’s was a wonderful place to eat, have a drink, and hear good music.

Knowledgeable and lovely tour guide & great music. I’m glad I did this on my visit to New York. I would highly recommend doing this & visiting Harlem.

Our very charming tourguide Doris was a total Harlem Pro as she lived her whole long life in Harlem and was able to tell not only the historical facts but also in vivid colors about the old times in this neighbourhood. Totally liked her tour. Only sad thing: It was not so much about Jazz music itself, we could only see the Apollo from outside and then went to a small club with nice music, but only four other guests than us (it was a thursday evening).

Of all the things we did on our honeymoon in New York, this is one of the things that we will remember the most. Starting off with a walk up to the iconic Apollo theatre, we received a running commentary of the history of Harlem and some of the world-changing individuals who have resided and visited there. After that, we got a taxi to Patrick’s, where we saw a live jazz band, which was absolutely incredible. The music was great, and we were made to feel genuinely welcome by both the band and the hosts. If you’re looking for something a bit different, away from the frantic bustle of Times Square, then this is the tour for you.
