Stop At: Ground Zero Museum Workshop, 420 W 14th St Floor 2, New York City, NY 10014-1064

The Ground Zero Museum Workshop in the Meat-Packing District on West 14th Street features stunning images, rare video and remnants from the Ground Zero Recovery Period, all packed into an intimate and emotional space. On display are 100 of Gary Marlon Suson's most well-known images, including the charred Genesis 11: Tower of Babylon Bible Page found in the WTC rubble, the Frozen Clock stuck at 10:02am, marking the collapse of the South Tower and several FDNY Honor Guard images. The actual clock itself is also on display in the museum.

The only all-access, sanctioned photographer at Ground Zero, Suson's one-of-a-kind, 3-D photo installations place viewers into the "hole" at Ground Zero. Visitors are also allowed the rare opportunity to pick up and hold World Trade Center steel and window glass. Tours are limited to just 25 people, and include a powerful 15-minute video.

The Ground Zero Museum is about 5-minutes from Ground Zero via the "E" train. Daily tours last about 90 minutes and include the intimate stories behind 100 images and remnants. This is a "don't-miss" museum that touches the heart of young and old alike. No graphic or morbid images are displayed and the museum is known for its sensitivity to a very tough subject matter. Suitable for children.

Incredible display of history. Very moving to view these photographs and artifacts, while listening to stories about them. There is so much to see I could, and probably will go back.

This is our second visit to the 9/11 Museum Workshop Tour. I would highly recommend it. It is such a moving and emotional experience. It is a self guided tour as you listen to the description of the photos and artifacts from 9/11 and the ground zero recovery effort. You hear personal stories and learn of the heroic efforts made by the men and women working at the site. It was once again my number one thing I wanted to do while visiting NYC.

Brilliant museum, very interesting with a focus on the aftermath of 9/11. Very sensitively handled for a very emotional subject. You get to go around at your own pace with an audio guide so you can relisten to anything you may have missed, and sit and absorb the impact of the day and the aftermath. Very glad I went, Thank you Gary and team.

It's so difficult to describe how utterly amazing our visit was 'Wow!' just doesn't seem enough! I planned a surprise trip to NYC for my Firefighter husband John, who retires this year after nearly 30 years of service in the UK. I desperately wanted to take him here, but it didn't seem likely due to the seasonal times. That was until my savior intervened. Gary allowed us to visit on a closed day and I will be forever grateful, as this absolutely made our trip. His wealth of first-hand knowledge and experience about the disaster is unsurmountable, and his years of dedication in creating and maintaining the museum are truly an inspiration. As for the museum itself.. your senses go into overdrive as you watch, listen, and feel genuine artifacts, radio messages, and photos taken within hours of the disaster. Although it was well over twenty years ago, here, you feel like it's yesterday; such is the emotion it generates. It is utterly mind-blowing to hold a piece of a blown-out window, a cross that was handmade for bereaved families from metalwork that was once the building's structure, and even a piece of fuselage from one of the planes... I could go on! We have treasured memories, and the visit is something that neither of us will ever, ever forget. Make this a priority if you're visiting New York... I promise you won't be disappointed. Thank you, Gary, for the enormous dedication and devotion that you have in keeping these memories alive. Mandy & John
