What a wonderful experience! It was our first visit up one of the “tall buildings” in New York and the view on the first viewing deck was amazing. It only got better with each level. Staff very courteous and helpful. We paid extra for the beam experience and it was fabulous. I’ve seen a lot of reviews saying the queues were horrendous but it was fairly quiet when we went and there weren’t really any significant queues… at most 5 mins for a lift back down. We went 10:45am on a Wednesday and were up there a few hours.
our first attempt was cancelled due to poor vivsabilty we was able to rebook for the next day we had a sunset slot which was great watching the sunset over manhatten world one trade glistened in the half light the closer scrappers light up like fairy lights empire state and summit one vanderbelt look amazing was a nit bit cold up there but was worth the experience
The wait wasn’t too bad and the line moved well. When we arrived at the Top of the ROC, other patrons were sitting on the sills of the window blocking views on every side. The people sitting didn’t move or make way for you to see out the windows. Unless you were over 6feet tall, then your view was easy to see over the seated people. Security should love them or make people unable to sit there- that was a waste of money because we couldn’t see anything. Because the weather was nice near sunset, we utilized the escalator to get to the upper floor, and that was so beautiful! There were about 12’ high, clear glass panels which afforded a perfect view from three sides ( the east-facing side was under construction and you were unable to view from there). Overall, the process was easy but the indoor views were obstructed by inconsiderate people sitting and blocking views of the new groups entering the venue. That needs to be addressed for the $50 entry fee- or charge less and let customers know view indoor views will be obstructed by those using the window sill as a seat. Sooooo disappointing!
All of it. The amazing view of NYC, the history, the guides helping us navigate the building, the photographers helping to capture the moment. A must do every trip!
Expensive waste of money! We booked a time slot but still had to wait in line for over 30 minutes! Its badly organised and to be frank its boring! I found The Edge to be much better value for money.
