Join your host Kavitha in the galley kitchen of her NYC studio apartment and learn to cook a traditional Indian meal from family recipes that she has perfected. Your hands-on vegetarian Indian cooking class will last about 2 hours, during which you will learn to cook three dishes from scratch. Some of the dishes you might learn to cook are daal (spiced lentil soup), paneer makhani (Indian cheese in a creamy sauce) and south Indian vegetables or basmati pilaf with spices and herbs. Enjoy learning about the tips and techniques involved in Indian cooking, and the medicinal benefits of spices before you sit down at the table to share the meal you helped prepare with host Kavitha.
