Travelling along country roads, off-road byways and permitted landowners farm tracks, this amazing safari heads high above Corfe Castle, then on to Heaven's Gate with the most spectacular views of Poole Harbour in the East and Portland to the West, then through the Lulworth Ranges, lost village of Tyneham and the famous Durdle Door.

This private safari can be bespoked to extend for a longer safari, to head to additional or alternative locations, or to include either a lovely home prepared picnic lunch or a stop at a good English Pub or Tea Room

Stop At: Isle of Purbeck, Isle of Purbeck, Dorset, England

The Safari will head out exploring the best of the Isle of Purbeck has to offer in our amazing Land Rover Defender. With air conditioning and leather seats, this will be a comfortable and careful safari, exploring the area in style.
Our most popular safari, starts and ends in Swanage, travelling along country roads, off-road byways and permitted landowners farm tracks. This amazing safari heads high above Corfe Castle, then on to Heaven's Gate with the most spectacular views of Poole Harbour in the East and Portland to the West, then through the Lulworth Ranges, lost village of Tyneham and the famous Durdle Door. Alternative pick up and drop off locations upon request.

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Corfe Castle, Corfe Castle, Isle of Purbeck, Dorset, England

In our customised Land Rover Defender 110, the safari will head over the hills high above Corfe Castle with spectacular views of Purbeck and beyond. Safari guide will drive off-road at a comfortable pace to enjoy the views. A stop at the top of the hill is a must. A stop in the village an option for travelers.

Stop At: South West Coast Path - Heaven's Gate at Kimmeridge Bay, Quarry Car Park, Kimmeridge BH20 5PH England

Safari guide will again head off road and take a long narrow path to the top of Heaven's Gate and along the cliff path. The view is probably the best in Dorset and not accessible without Dorset Safari's trusty Land Rover Defender.
We'll stop for a stretch of legs and a nice tea / coffee and home made cake!

Stop At: Tyneham Village and Flower's Barrow Walk, Tyneham BH20 5DE England

With your safari guide, explore the lost village of Tyneham, the picturesque village left abandoned during WW2. Learn about how the locals had to leave their homes, which was then used in the war effort as a military training area. To this day, Tyneham is only open seasonally. An option for an alternative stop will be made if the village is closed.

Stop At: Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door, West Lulworth England

Our final stop is to the iconic Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove, both fully deserving of their fabulous reputation and must see destinations. Time available for you to head down to the Man-O-War Beach or stretch your legs taking the Jurassic Coast walk to Lulworth Cove for pick up.
This truly is a fantastic end to the day before heading back to Swanage.

    The afternoon was terrific. From the homemade tea and cakes to the breadth of views we took in during an afternoon, it was the highlight of our trip to Dorset. Our group included a 5, 7, 13, 43, 77 and 78 year old family members and Mark made it work for everyone. He engaged us with local history, information, games for the girls and lots of stories for everyone. It was a really terrific afternoon. Mark was pro-active in communicating with us leading up to our trip and also helped us think about how to accommodate my father, who is in his late-70s and recovered from a stroke. It all worked very well and everyone on the trip got to experience something that wouldn’t have been possible on foot.

    Really good expérience. Mark drove us to some exceptional sites that we would never have found ourselves and his local knowledge and good humour gave us an interesting and very enjoyable afternoon. Thank you for the excellent home made cake !

    We had a brilliant afternoon with Mark. His stories and fun facts on the area were great and even though we’re locals we learnt stuff and saw parts of Dorset and views we’d never seen before and would never have got to without the Land Rover! Mark was really flexible on what we wanted to see and great company. He also thought about where he could make the visit special for photo spots, gorgeous homemade cake midway through the trip and even a glass of fizz at the end to mark a special occasion. We’d all thoroughly recommend Dorset Safaris – to locals or visitors alike – make sure you book!

    Awesome safari! Mark knows how to give you an incredible day out. His Land Rover took us up on top of the beautiful Dorset Hills. We stopped at a cool English Pub for lunch. We even had a cider tasting masterclass at a local cider farm! Our guide was funny and entertaining, plus knew loads of cool stories and history about the area. Must come back and take another safari with Mark next time we’re over to the UK. 10/10

    Mark stellte eine Tour rein nach unseren Wünschen zusammen. Die Jepptour fühte uns über Offroad Weg, durch wunderschöne Landschaften. Viele schöne Fotopoints besuchten wir. Mark informierte uns über geschichtliche, landschftliche und kulturelle Details. Wir sind begeistert und können die Touren nur empfehlen.
