Overview

Start at Port Chalmers to experience the beauty of Dunedin on a fantastic 5 hour tour of rich heritage, spectacular scenery. You will experience gorgeous and memorable landscape of Otago Peninsula with amazing string of rugged beaches, bays and wildlife. Your knowledgeable guide will show you the most breathtaking views and take you closer to nature and its wildlife.

Spend some free time at Royal Albatross Centre: this place offers the world's only mainland colony of Royal Albatross. Here you have the option to either take lunch, explore the visitor center or wander outside (since it's generally pretty windy, you are likely to see flying the largest seabirds!) or watch lazy seals.

You will stop at the world's steepest street, First Church, Railway station and will have some free time to explore internationally significant and the oldest botanic garden in New Zealand. The tour is designed only for a small group, to enjoy flexibility, comfort and personalized attention.

Alan gave my husband and me the most wonderful tour of Dunedin and the Otago Peninsula! He is warm, funny and just a pleasure to be with. One of the highlights of our trip to New Zealand was our tour with him.

Teresa was a fantastic guide on our excursion. Very personable, including a great sense of humor. The trip was well thought out, showing us many sites in and around Dunedin and Otaga Peninsula. She took great care of us, ensuring we all had food for lunch. She was very knowledgeable about the history, flora and fauna. Simply said, Teresa and tour were great.

We toured Dunedin, home to Otago University. Then went out to beautiful areas of the city, seeing lots of wildlife of the area. The trip to the Royal Albatross Center allowed us to see a few albatrosses in flight and some seals on the shore. It was another rainy day, but we made the best of it. I was able to sit in the front so I was able to take pictures, but the people in the back of the van couldn’t much, because the windows kept steaming up. And at times the people in the back couldn’t hear as well.

We were disappointed with the albatrose tour, was not what we were lead to believe, but the rest was very good
