Participants are split into two teams that select dishes from a list provided:
- first team: selects a starter, fish dish and dessert
- second team: selects a starter, meat dish and desert
For each dish we explain the ingredients, the history and techniques associated to cook them to perfection according to Portuguese tradition.
Once the cooking session is over participants have lunch or dinner, paired with Portuguese wines.
In the end Chef Heitor will choose the best dishes and a prize will be awarded to the team that created it, as well as a certificate attesting that the team is capable of cooking this dish just like a native Portuguese person.
The total time for the cooking session and meal is approximately 4 hours.
