Discover our centennial camellias and the details that came from all over the world to build the House we see today.

    I personally thought the art was quite minimal and not to my taste, but the house itself is very beautiful, and you could easily spend a few hours in the adjoining garden/park (especially on a sunny day!). The wine + snacks meant that this was excellent value for money. The staff were also very friendly and helpful.

    We stumbled across this stunning building when taking a walk through the beautiful park gardens. We were lucky enough to have the honour of being shown around by Peter whose knowledge and enthusiasm about the building and the collection is next to none! The exhibition has been curated with thought and intention - the buildings ornate and intricate features adjacent to the bold contemporary art make it a real must see!

    The visit to Casa de São Roque was delightful! It's a charming spot, especially for enjoying a glass of wine in the late afternoon within its beautiful garden full of charming camellias.

    I had visited Casa São Roque and I must say it was an incredible experience! The museum's captivating exhibit were truly impressive. Not to mention, the picturesque garden provided the perfect setting to enjoy a delightful glass of Vinho Verde.

    My visit to “Hourless and at Large” by contemporary multimedia artist Emily Wardill, who explores themes of relationships, gender, and history, was engaging, particularly in the context of a historic home. Also enjoyed walking around the gorgeous gardens, exploring the light-filled house, and visiting the cafe/ wine bar, which boasts an art history library. Don’t miss this hidden gem of Porto, only two miles from the historic center and a close walk to the Porto football stadium and museum.
