Give Emelia a raise! She was great guide and provided a lot of useful information on the city. She was helpful, enthusiastic, answered all our questions and stuck with us the whole time. Fado was absolutely fantastic and memorable and a great way to end our last night in Porto. The restaurant chosen was delicious. I thought I hated seafood but this restaurant changed my mind. Im glad I chose this tour.
We had a wonder evening with a walk in Porto, dinner and a Fado show with Manuela!! She had a fabulous knowledge of history, the area and was so much fun!! We are hoping to enjoy her company again!!
This was our first visit to Porto and we were only there for a day. The evening with our guide Manuela was a perfect mixture of an informative guided tour followed by a delicious dinner and a fado show. Manuela was lively and entertaining as she shared the history of the Porto area. During the Fado show, she was able to translate the lyrics of the emotional haunting fado. We felt we were treated to a cultural experience we will not soon forget. We want to come back and stay longer the next time!
Excellent experience. Daniela was engaging and knowledgeable about Fado. On the walk to the Fado venue she told us about the history and what to expect regarding Fado, as well as spicing the conversation up with anecdotes about the area in Porto we were in. During the concert (not really a concert, but with Fado you pay attention) she wrote out the lyrics and during breaks translated the songs for us. You can enjoy fado without this but this tour is well worth it.
