We booked a small 8 person tour that was to visit the inside of several sites. The day of the tour we were told they didn’t have a guide for that tour so we were given a tour on a large bus with 29 people. We only entered the train station and passed by many sites which were impossible to see from inside the bus. Very disappointed that we did not get what we booked and that we weren’t notified of the change in plans.

We took this tour of Porto and our guide Wilson was excellent. He customized our tour by asking what we had already seen and what we might like to see. Wilson was very friendly and knowledgeable. At the port tasting at the end he was very patient while we did a little shopping for some ports to take home with us. At the end of the tour Wilson gave us the option of being dropped off at the hotel or someplace for dinner. He recommended a restaurant called Casa Guedes and said to get the pork sandwich. E we followed his advice and the sandwich was amazing. If we make it back to Porto we’ll be doing another tour and requesting Wilson.

Our guide, Jose, was great. He is very knowledgeable and was accommodating to our group that included two teens and four seniors. This tour was a nice way to get to see the city of Porto with minimal walking (which helped the grandparents). The only ask I could make is if the tour had a suggested itinerary for us to consider / review. It felt like we were being asked what we wanted to see vs being given a suggested itinerary with options based on our interests. Overall, though, I would recommend, especially if you already have an idea of what you want to tour.

Porto is a beautiful city. We discover it with Milena: she is a very knowledgeable and accommodating guide with a good sense of humor. I would rate this tour as 5 on a 1 to 5 scale.

We enjoyed the tour and had a very friendly tour guide. However, we would have preferred to do more walking around the old town and there was some confusion as to the pick up location so the tour started late.
