The 4x4 tour was an absolute highlight of our trip to Porto - I could not recommend it more strongly. An excellent combination of thrills, food and views, it was made all the better by our guide, Ricardo, who made us feel very welcome and comfortable throughout the trip.
We wanted to do something to get us out of the crowds of Porto and this tour sounded interesting. You may think a 4x4 ride would just be driving around the mountains - it was sooo much more! It was the highlight of Porto and the entire trip to Portugal. Our tour guide Ricardo, was an amazing host - the tour started about 20 mins outside of Porto and when we got to the mountain, the fun began. Ricardo showed us some old Roman ruins, took us to the very top for amazing views, gave us a lot of history of the area and some "fun" things along the way. Then, we had to go down the mountain - OMG, you stand up in the Land Rover and it's better than a Disney World ride! I could go on but I would give away all of Ricardo's secrets - the last thing I'll say is the last stop was memorable - something that will stay with me for a long, long time. I cannot recommend this gem of a tour enough - don't miss it.

What a lovely afternoon spent with Ricardo. A great informative guide and great fun...... driving over the rough terrain. So pleased we went.
THe BEST trip! SO much fun! Definitely do this! It was a short trip to the mountain is about half an hour and then really really cool. Exciting blast around the mountains where you can stand up in the jeep. Ricardo was brilliant very informative. Interesting beautiful, finishing with a lovely glass of green wine at the end, my kids adored this and said it was one of the best trips they never done. Definitely definitely recommend this!
