This was an amazing experience and a highlight of our trip! My friends and I spent the day with Jose and he was the best host! We stopped in Aveiro, Nazare, and Obidos on our way from Porto to Lisbon. Jose provided recommendations at each stop and we got the opportunity to experience each location without feeling rushed. Jose was the best host we could have asked for and we thoroughly enjoyed our day!

José was incredible! His knowledge was extensive and the stops he made were very thoughtful, including, but not limited to, coffee shops, boat rides, restaurants. At no point during the day did we feel rushed which allowed us to truly take in each location.

We did our transfer with Jose and cannot say enough amazing things about our experience. Jose went out of his way to give recommendations and cater to our experience. From coffee stops, restaurants, boat tours, and tasty treats. He encouraged to spend as much time as we would like in each location and we never felt rushed. Cannot think of a better way to get from Porto to Lisbon.

We were originally planning to take the train from Porto to Lisbon but after researching the time involved and costs (not to mention the stress of lugging all of our luggage), we decided to splurge and book this tour. It was perfect. We saw two towns we would have never been to if it wasn’t for Jose and this tour. It started before 9 am at our hotel. Jose was there exactly when he said he would be. He was super friendly and quickly got us into his vehicle (no easy task as I brought too much). Nice car, lots of room and very comfortable. Jose was great in explaining the different options for us (we selected two cities). We went with his recommendation and was pleasantly surprised. He gave us all kinds of information about the areas as we went through them. We learned a lot and saw some fascinating things that we wouldn’t have seen (or even known about) by taking the train. Our first stop was Aveira. What a great choice. We got to see both sides of it, take a boat (with the best guide ever), and walk through the area. Love the town and can’t wait to visit in the future. Jose gave us a little souvenir from the area and that says a lot about the kind of man he is. Next stop was Obidas. Wow. It was another pleasant surprise. Jose’s knowledge of the area and recommendations were helpful. We enjoyed visiting the town, walking on the wall and having lunch at one of the many restaurants available. The ride to Lisboa from there was peaceful. Jose gave us more interesting information while we rode into Lisboa. Once we got to our hotel he took our heavy suitcases up the street and the stairs of our hotel. He went above and beyond. The cost seems high but in reality, it’s priceless considering the stress free day we had as a result. We highly recommend this tour (and ask for Jose!).
