Our tour guide Alex was key in making our Reims tour informative, fun, easy and delicious. We loved the two small growers, the tasting of 6 champagnes and the views. A brief stop for photos in a perfectly picturesque spot was appreciated. We plan on buying at least one case of champagne as I now have favorites beyond Veuve. We visited Veuve Cliquot after the tour and it was disappointing and lacked the warmth and passion of the vineyard owners we experienced on the tour. 😁
Very enjoyable and informative trip, taking in 2 champagne producers. The Veuve Maitre Geoffory visit was the better of the 2 tbh. Our guide Batiste was very informed, amiable and good humoured. Would recommend this tour.
The trip was great, easy to find the guide in the morning by train station. The guide Alex was excellent and gave a very good explanation of it all and had a lovely humour and manner to make it more enjoyable. The whole morning was lovely some different champagne growers and how different one drink can be! The half day was great as able to sample and see what wanted without being too much and could then enjoy the rest of the day.
Alex was a wonderful guide and very experienced in the art of champagne production. Visiting the small producers and tasting their champagne was fun, as we cannot get them in the US. Highly recommend!
A lovely tour of two champagne houses with lots of information from our guide. At the first house we were met by one of the owners and she conducted the tasting. No one was at the second house which was a shame as it meant it was rather soulless but our guide was still super good. The minivan was comfortable.
