Overview

This bar hop plus ghost tour takes you through the most historic haunts of Gold Rush era San Francisco.

We start in the only part of downtown to survive the 1906 Earthquake and Fire - Jackson Square, then cross the infamous “Devil’s Acre,” and end in the legendary Chinatown. There you'll meet the ghosts of desperate miners, forlorn women, and shanghaied sailors... plus a serial killer or two.

And unlike a standard ghost tour, we’ll actually enter into four haunted locations where, if you choose, you might sip on that other kind of spirit.

The guide was kind , funny , intuitive and knowledgeable. He also gave the tour through an anti colonialism lens and was very respectful of discussing different culltural views and experiences of oppression. It was great to have conversations as a group I have lived in San Francisco for 25 years and I learned so much more history about this amazing place . I can’t wait to go back and explore more history on my own . I loved seeing the wild parrots and walking through North Beach and Chinatown at night . The bars were cool too , but we were often outside so it would be a fine tour for someone to go on even if they don’t drink . The walk wasn’t too far either - 2 people in the group had some mobility concerns and they did just fine . We had an excellent night and it left me inspired.

Jamie was fantastic! He knew his stuff and his enthusiasm made the tour even better. I also appreciate that he was early and texted everyone as to where he was, what he was wearing.

The tour guide was highly knowledgeable about the history of the place, and skillfully utilized visual materials to vividly illustrate its past. Additionally, the guide I had was a local, adding an authentic touch to the experience.

It was such a great tour! Personally, I think it should be called "San Fran's Dark History" or something like that, because, frankly, you get more bang for your buck than I had anticipated! Not only do you hear about some spirits but you get such interesting history on the darker underbelly of SF, all of it told by a tour guide who is passionate about the topic and who's enthusiasm for being able to tell it all to the group is infectious. It was one of the best haunted tours I've ever been on.
