Kayaking down the beautiful Waikato River, soak in the natural geothermal hot pools, pass islands, natural reserves and underneath the Taupo Bungy and Extreme Swing. Please note that a minimum of four bookings are required for a tour to proceed, contact us directly for single bookings. Age limit 4-80.

Great gentle kayak down the beautiful river. Guide was good fun and very informative. Took some wonderful photos which were shared. Easy to find the venue and all the staff were great

This is a very gentle kayak trip, down a pretty river. We had the river to ourselves at 9 am, so it was peaceful and beautiful. We stopped at the Spa Park, where hot water falls into the river. If you want (and I did) you can swim with the current in the river and enter the bay where the hot water is.

Doug was a great guide and despite the rain we all really loved being on the river with him. This is a very easy kayak- ideal for beginners. THe river pretty much carries you down without any strenuous paddling!

I highly recommend this kayaking trip, it was fabulous. The river itself is majestic, felt so good to be immersed in nature. Our guide was extremely helpful/skilled, and I appreciated the instruction at the beginning of the trip as I didn't feel overly confident. I also enjoyed hearing about his kayaking adventures, very inspiring. I will do the Māori Rock carving kayak trip next time I am back in Taupō.
