We travelled throughout Israel, starting in Tel Aviv and moving up north to the above listed areas. We then headed south to Jerusalem, Masada and the Dead Sea. In total we spent 7 days with Meni Tzabari, our private tour guide and driver. There aren't enough ways in which to rave about Meni. He was professional, knowledgeable and courteous and attended to all our needs. He was able to strike the perfect balance between professionalism and familiarity and as he got to know our family he made helpful suggestions regarding our itinerary in order to give us the best experience. He is fluent in Hebrew, Arabic and English, making him comfortable in all different environments. His affable, outgoing personality has clearly earned him contacts all over Israel, as there was hardly a venue we visited where he wasn't recognized and warmly greeted. The fact that he was our guide afforded us VIP treatment throughout the country. This trip was truly an unforgettable experience and Meni is part of what has created memories that will last a life time.

Thoroughly enjoyed this tour, in no small part due to our very special guide, Danny. In addition to being knowledgeable & multi-lingual, she was huge fun, the jokes never stopped - she really made the day for me. Not sure if it was by luck or design as this wasn’t sold as a small group tour, but there was just 12 of us & this meant I never felt herded or rushed & the vehicle was a mini-van rather than a coach (very handily equipped with USB ports). The tour operates from Tel Aviv & Jerusalem, the latter requiring a 6am pick up. Danny speaks several languages fluently but this tour was conducted only in English & Spanish, which she interchanged very easily between so very little time was wasted on translation. The tour packs in the 4 listed sites but with the exception of Akko/Acre, where I’d have liked a bit more time, the stops felt like just about the right duration. Caesarea comes first & is very interesting. The stop in Haifa is really just a viewing point over the stunning Baha’i Gardens, port & city skyline, & ideally if I’d had the time I’d have enjoyed longer to peruse, but by & large it’s a workaday place & I didn’t feel I’d missed much. Rosh HaNikra is pleasant enough, some pretty grottoes/marine caves, accessed by a blink & you’ll miss it cable car ride, plus some picturesque ocean views. As previously mentioned, Acre is the stop I wished we’d had more time at. We had lunch here, a very tasty mezze (ILS60) & then visited the 12th century Crusader city remains. We then stopped at a copper souvenir store, where there was a little demo & the invitation to buy. There was no pressure whatsoever, indeed we were encouraged to take the opportunity to use their nice clean loos before the journey back. I loathe tours where you’re herded around craft shops & the like, & I’m pleased to say, this tour doesn’t push this tiresome tack. Following the 4 sites you are returned to your hotel, or thereabouts. I’ve given 5 stars because this tour did exactly what it said on the tin, & didn’t try to corall us into tat shops. Additionally, our guide Danny, was an exceptional personality.

We had a great experience with our tour guide, Rami Farkash. A private tour guide who was our driver too. He was so very professional and well read. Rami told us about each and every detail both on the drive and the locations. Professional and friendly at the same time, with added humor that never failed to make us laugh! all through the journey, even though we had little time. The details and info was very interesting. At every sight it was almost like we were in a history class! Would highly recommend Rent A Guide to all my friends if they travel to Israel, and particularly Rami! Thanks.

We did 3 trips in a 7 day trip. All trough the same agency. This trip wasn’t the most impressive regarding to the spots we went, but this trip made the big difference because of the tourguide. Meni Tzabari is something you can only wish for when you go on a coached trip to where ever. Not only does he seems to be an encyclopedia on legs (this guys knows ALLOT), he also tells stories in such a passionate way that you just want to hear more. I learned history while I got the feeling I was there, on spot, so many years ago. Also a big plus about Meni was the patience he had we us. We like to make pictures and we were the couple everyone was waiting for all the time, but he gave us the feeling we didn’t had to hurry and gave the others the feeling they didn’t had to wait. Today we made another trip (the 3th) and we saying to eachother: “let’s hope Meni will be there again.” But he wasn’t there. We got another guide, and during the trip (over the same road as Meni got us) we had to tell the other passengers about the stories Meni told us about specific parts, because this guide was only telling boring and uninteresting facts. Another huge plus was the Meni way he organised his tour. How? I won’t tell, but the result was that we where almost alone with our group on every spot, so no crowd, no people standing in front of your picture and an awesome relaxed trip. Meni made this an awesome trip. So mate .. if you read this .. thank you for that. 🙏🏻

We took the western Galilee tour on our second to last day. It was the 4th tour we took from this company. This is a relatively young company. They are very disorganized. For example, you will get picked up from your hotel and dropped off to a parking lot. From the parking lot is like a fish market where many drivers/tour guides try to find their own perspective tourist for their particular tour. The buses are not assigned a number nor most have no sign saying which is bus is going where. The buses/mini buses have logos of companies other than rent-a-guide. This particular tour started at a roman ruin. If you visited one roman ruin in your life then you visited them all. They all are pretty much the same. Then from that point we went to Grotto, but on the way there we stopped and saw Haifa garden from a good mile away. So when the description says Haifa Garden, it is somewhat misleading as you get 5 to maximum 10 minute to see Haifa garden from a far distance. That is a shame because it is a must visit attraction and very beautiful. The Grotto is next to the Lebanese border and the coast line is actually beautiful. Good location to take some pictures but not actually not much to see on a historical point of view compared to other parts of Israel. We then stopped by lunch at rent-a-guide's recommended Arab restaurant. The food was very good. Of the 4 tours with rent a guide this was the only restaurant that they used worth mentioning. After the lunch we did the mandatory souvenir shop that sells extremely overpriced souvenirs. This is customary for rent-a-guide to have lunch at their partnered place and visit their suggested souvenir shop. There is no time limit like at an actual attraction where you are on a clock. we visited another ruin and headed back. Overall i would not recommend this tour unless there is no other options for you.
