Lovely day with Levi - he’s personable and funny and an astute observer of his culture and it’s place in the world which we enjoyed absorbing in between his learned commentary in the various holy land sites we visited. Very comfortable late model vehicle and he seems to know where to find the best food wherever you are. Came away with some good Jewish jokes too and why humour is important to this people.

We took this tour in March 2019 because we wanted to see more than the bus tours offered. First the pluses: -- Mr. Zelkind was willing to pick us up at the airport and drop us off at our hotel, a great convenience. We arranged for the time and place for pickup via email. -- We also communicated via email as to our itinerary. He responded promptly and allowed us to have changes from the sites described for the tour. -- Mr. Zelkind is knowledgeable about the Sea of Galilee sites, drives well, knows the ins-and-outs of the area's parking/traffic, etc. and is polite. On the other hand: -- Confirm the itinerary, once at the beginning and once before you leave to make sure it is correct. -- If you add or exchange sites, he will advise that additional admission fees are incurred, but no refunds are given for sites you do not see. -- Confirm whether the schedule you have constructed is feasible in the amount of time designated for the tour or whether an extra hourly charge will likely be incurred. Bring cash. -- Be aware that customs can take up to an hour and arrange for pickup accordingly. -- Mr. Zelkind can occasionally be opinionated. Overall, I would recommend him -- it was a good experience in that he communicated well, drove well, knew the area and was knowledgeable about the sites. We did get to see more than we would have had we taken a bus tour but be prepared to push a little to see all that you desire. Lastly, if this is your only trip to the Sea of Galilee and you want it to be meaningful, take a break occasionally from the commentary!
