What Can You Expect?

Our Night Sky Star Safari is a comprehensive stargazing activity for all. Including a meal at an authentic Canarian restaurant on our way up the mountain and also stopping for an amazing sunset from above the Sea of Clouds, our activity is your introduction to the night sky, stars and the Universe. It includes the guided use of telescopes for night sky observation of visible planets, the Moon, stars, galaxies, etc. Join us as we take a safari trek across the night sky with our lasers using constellations and detailed explanations of the science and mythology by expert astronomy guides. While in Tenerife, these astronomy tours are an ideal excursion for holiday makers, taking advantage of Tenerife being one of the best locations in the world for both professional and amateur astronomy. Our aim at Tenerife First Excursions is that you have fun observing the sky and making it easy for you. We hope to give you as many WOW moments as possible!

    We had an excellent evening on the Tuesday night, meal and sunset great, moon looked amazing but there were clouds so it was cancelled, however options were offered which was amazing and we went back on Friday night, the team are really knowledgeable and gave us a good insight into the stars. It was cold but they provided jackets and hot chocolate, it is extremely well run and everyone involved were great.

    Initially we heard of this company through TikTok. We met with Kim who is very friendly and helped us with booking the excursion. The stargazing was amazing and would recommend it to everyone. So definitely give these guys a try when in Tenerife for your excursions.

    We were one of those groups with bad luck when it came to the weather, so we basically missed out on both the sunset and the stargazing. It was sad, but the company had excellent routines to just shut the operation down and take us home before anyone got really uncomfortable (note: it’s very cold on the mountain compared to the sun trip you came for). On the bus down, the guide offered refund or rescheduling with no guilt tripping or sentiment at all if you felt that going up again was too much effort. Only thing is like to note to the organizer is that you gave two numbers for the amount refunded. On the bus you said 75%, in the communication the day after you said 66%. I think it’s still very generous, so it doesn’t affect my sentiment, but just a heads up if someone else gets hung up on that in the future. All in all, there seems to have been no issues with the refunding via TripAdvisor either, so I really can’t complain. You did the absolute best you could with weather conditions that was too unforgiving to deal with.

    Absolutely great trip. Pre communication was exceptional. I didn't have great expectations for the meal but it was OK and we were lucky to have great travelling companions. The actual event was fantastic. Someone get Kieran his own astronomy TV show! It was a gamble as it was on my 60th birthday and ifbit had been a poor trip it would have been a shame. Photos included where others rip you off. Worth every penny, thank you!

    Stunning sunset above the clouds! Great narrative provided by Kieran with multiple chances to view the stars and moon. Comfortable coach ride and lovely supper. Highly recommend this excursion!
