most of them start their ascents at the 5th station, halfway up
the mountain. If climbing Mt. Fuji to its summit doesn't fit into
your travel schedule but you want to experience the atmosphere
of this symbol of Japan, you can climb or drive to Fuji Subaru Line
5th Station for spectacular views.

FOR PLAN A,B: In the Oishi Park of the scenic spot of Mt.Fuji, you can enjoy the flower street of 350 meters. From late-April through early-May,
the pink carpet of moss phlox, spreads vividly. At the same time,
flowers of field mustard blossoms, and you can take pictures of
colorful flowers with Mt.Fuji in the background.Walking on the
flower street viewing the magnificent Mt.Fuji, you will be relaxed
and forget time. The best time to view lavender is from late June
through early July. Please come to picturesque Oishi park where
you can enjoy seasonal flowers. In the winter, the glorious view of
Mt. Fuji is emphasized in clear air!

FOR PLAN A: The park begins at the base of Mt. Arakurayama and extends up the mountain. At the top of a 398 stair hike is an observation deck that looks out over the cityscape of Fujiyoshida City and majestic Mt. Fuji towering above. Though the Spring sakura (cherry blossom) season is best for capturing the symbolic image of Mt. Fuji, cherry blossoms and five-storied pagoda, the park can be enjoyed throughout the year with a stunning view that changes with the seasons.

Stop At: Gotemba Premium Outlets, 1312 Fukasawa, Gotemba 412-0023 Shizuoka Prefecture
FOR PLAN B: The Gotemba Premium Outlets are Japan's most popular outlet mall , located in Gotemba City at the base of Mount Fuji, not far from Hakone. The mall features around 300 stores and restaurants, a food court, a 50 meters high Ferris wheel, a hotel and a public hot spa bath.
The stores found at the Premium Outlets are the outlets of internationally known brands of fashion, sports, food, household goods and electronics, and range from everyday items to luxury goods. The prices are not ridiculously cheap, but they are better on average than what you will find at regular retail shops in Japan. Overall it is a nice place for a day of shopping, with a lot of variety and reasonable prices.
