Good tour, I recommend! Great guides, great experience. (Would have preferred to have a bit more information about the itinerary, there were a few surprises.) The driver picked us up at our hotel, very punctual. On our way, we stopped at a coffee plantation for a tasting, and after a restaurant for lunch. 30 min each. Both nice, but we had lunch before starting the tour and did a similar coffee tasting the day before. When arriving at mount batur, we met our jeep driver, Zero. He took us to the black lava fields, where we had some time to explore. Then drove to a different spot for watching the sunset. There's an option to hike up to the highest point of the caldera, appr 30 min, pretty steep hike. After the sunset, we went back with the jeep to the car, and drove back to the hotel. Both drivers had good English, were very nice, accomodating, did everything for our comfort and enjoyment (taking photos, bringing rain ponchos), couldn't have asked for more. The mountain is a lot less crowded for sunset than sunrise, a lot better to enjoy the nature. Highly recommend this sunset tour!

We had Mawe collect us from our hotel, he was really friendly and helpful. We then had Karpa drive us in the Jeep up to the black lava and the viewpoint. He took some fantastic photos of us and even provided us with a snack to eat while waiting for th sunset. I would definitely recommend this experience!
