Day 1: Cappadocia to Adıyaman
Stop At: Karatay Han, Karatay, 38600 Bünyan/Kayseri, Türkiye
East of Kayseri is Karatayhan Caravanserai which was on the silk road, specifically along the trade routes of Anatolia, in the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. These routes were where the material from Persia and China were carried into Europe and vice-versa. An exuberant amount of wealth was being brought through these routes so it was in the sultans and the nobles of the empires best interests to encourage, increase and protect traders by these routes. Enormous stone buildings, called ‘Kervansarays’ meaning caravan palaces, were built approximately every 30Km along the roads. They were built to provide shelter and amenities for the traders and their animals, which could sometimes mean over 400 animals, whether it be camels, horses or donkeys. These Kervansaray’s sometimes included accommodation for traders/travellers, animal stables, water, markets, kitchens, baths, blacksmiths and an infirmary.

Pınarbaşı district first became a district center of Sivas Province under the name of Aziziye in 1861 during the reign of Sultan Abdulaziz. There is no information in the historical records about his place in the administrative division before this date. However, it is understood from the historical artifacts in the province that many states and border principalities remained within the borders of these principalities and were the scene of the struggles between these principalities.

Cendere Köprüsü, Adıyaman'da Cendere çayı üzerinde yer alan ve dünyanın hâlen kullanılmakta olan en eski köprülerinden biri olarak anılan tarihi köprü.
Adıyaman’a 55 km mesafede, bugün Eskikale olarak bilinen bir antik yerleşim bölgesinde bulunmaktadır. Kahta ve Sincik’i birbirine bağlar. Romalıların yaptığı 2. en geniş kemerli köprüdür. 120 m uzunluğunda ve 7 m genişliğindedir. Her biri 10 ton ağırlığında 92 kayadan meydana gelir.

Balıklıgöl is the attraction area of Şanlıurfa tourism. It is located in front of Urfa Castle, just south of the Halil-ur Rahman Lake. According to rumors, after Abraham was thrown into the fire, Nemrut’s daughter Zeliha could not bear to be thrown into the fire because she loved and believed in Abraham very much, and she threw herself into the fire. The place turns into a lake where the Zeliha falls.

Day 3: Şanlıurfa to İstanbul
