The Scaliger arches, located in the heart of the historic center of Verona, next to the church of Santa Maria Antica and a few meters from Piazza dei Signori, are a monumental funerary complex in the Gothic style of the Scaligeri family, intended to contain the arches (or tombs ) of some illustrious representatives of the family, including that of the greatest Lord of Verona, Cangrande, to whom Dante dedicated the Paradiso.

The church of San Pietro da Verona in Santa Anastasia, better known as the basilica of Santa Anastasia, is an important place of Catholic worship located in the heart of the historic center of Verona; it is located in the terminal area of the decumanus maximus of the city of Roman times, near the point where the wide meander of the Adige river is cut by the Pietra bridge, where therefore gravitate what were the two main city communication routes, road and river.
