Stop At: Le Petit Trianon, Porte de la Reine, 78000, Versailles France

You will access and enjoy free time inside the Petit Trianon, which is a little palace offered by Louis XVI to his wife, Marie-Antoinette, who would regularly come to escape the formality of court life and shake off the burden of her royal responsibilities.

You can then discover by yourself the fascinating rustic retreat built for Marie Antoinette in 1783, inspired by traditional architecture of rural Normandy.

You will enjoy some free time to explore this amazing pink marble palace, which Louis XIV designed and used to get away from the court and pursue his affair with Mme de Montespan

At the end of our Tour, you can access, on your own, the palace after peak hours with skip-the-line ticket and explore the fascinating history of the iconic royal residence of french monarchy.

    This was an amazing tour led by Momo, who was superb. After a little confusion regarding meeting place we headed out on golf carts to tour the massive Versailles property. Then switched to bikes to go through gardens and see special sites. Momo was so informative! I learned a lot of history about that period. Included a delicious picnic lunch, even getting the gluten free entree I needed. Then on to the self guided palace tour. Very hot and crowded so we tried to get through pretty quickly, but it was an amazing place. The train there from central Paris looked confusing, so we opted for a 40 euro ride on Uber. Excellent tour!

    Momo was an energetic and engaging tour guide who led us by golf cart, bicycle, and on foot. Our tour group of nine was a great size - big enough to meet new people, small enough to warmly intimate and that Momo was able to answer all of our questions, chat with each person, and meet our needs. There were some challenges on this tour: a technical glitch delayed the start, but Momo handled it with grace and professionalism. Also, it was the midst of a heat wave - we were fortunate to have the outdoor activities in the morning and get into the palace as the day started to turn sweltering. Some things to be aware of: wear good walking/biking shoes; you will be out in the open a good deal of the time, so dress accordingly. Use the bathrooms when you get a chance, as there will be times with none available. Last, some of the biking surfaces are a bit tricky - sand, cobblestone, and 2 gradual but long hills. Mostly it was easy biking, but if you are a bit unsteady, you may want to be prepared. It was really great to have the bikes to get to some of the outer limits of the estate - we could see and visit things that would have been hard to reach otherwise, and out there, we had the place to ourselves This tour is more focused on the grounds than the palace - the palace is a self tour, and was reasonably good, but the star of the day is the outdoors. Overall, a great experience and a great guide. Oh - a last note: taxis and Ubers hate taking people to Versailles. Our first attempt at a taxi, the driver refused to go. The second driver agreed to take us, but told us that this trip is usually an empty car on the ride back in traffic for an hour - not a good way to earn a living. If you do get a taxi driver, tip them well to compensate. This also meant that at 5:30pm, there were no taxis at the taxi stand. After 15-20 minutes of waiting, we took the train back - outside of the heat and the learning curve to know where to get off and transfer, it ended up working really well for us, and was far cheaper.

    We enjoyed the tour very much. Our guide was excellent. We loved the golf cart, bike ride combination. The picnic lunch was delicious. I highly recommend this tour!!

    Momo (Mossimo) was awesome! The golf cart tour, bike ride and tours of the grounds were fantastic! It was crazy hot but still a great experience 😊

    Pro * Saw most of the outdoor Versailles * Went on Golf cart (1 hr) and bike (1hr). * Had a Wonderful lunch by Angelina's. *The tour guide (Nima) was courteous, engaging, telling us stories of the French Monarchy. Con - * A long day (9am to 3:30pm). * By the time we enter the indoor Palace (3:45pm), we were so tired. * I wished the tour guide came into the Palace with us, to explain the importance elements of each room. * Tour was expensive ($180/pp). Nima, the tour guide, speak way too fast.
