Itinerary

Pass By: Ananda Tours, Auckland, Waiheke Island 1081 New Zealand

Take the 12.00pm Fullers ferry to Matiatia Wharf at Waiheke Island where your driver will greet you there with a welcome sign.

You will be accompanied by one of our experienced guides, who are all intimately familiar with Waiheke’s history, culture, people and produce (and great wine enthusiasts themselves). The tour visits three vineyards for wine tasting as well as a vineyard/microbrewery. A grazing platter style lunch is included at the second vineyard where you can sit back and enjoy a mix of seafood, meats, cheeses and vegetables. After lunch you will visit a vineyard and microbrewery for tasting before making your way back to the 6 pm ferry back to Auckland.

If you would like to linger a little longer on the island then we can arrange a dinner booking at a venue of your choice or drop off into Oneroa Village and enjoy the evening at your leisure.

One of the best tours I have ever experienced. Our guide Simon was fantastic. The wine tasting and lunch at Passage Rock Winery was out of this world. The views were breathtaking. Don’t miss this tour.

Absolutely gorgeous day to visit Waiheke and learn about the wonderful community there. Fiona took us to two lovely wineries (including an over-the-top lunch at Passage Rock) and a fab visit to Waiheke distillery with awesome views and tasty gin and vodka! Really a superb afternoon!

We thoroughly enjoyed this trip with our three adult children.. The island was gorgeous and Janis our guide did a wonderful job driving and providing context for what we were seeing. Every location had amazing views. The wines were good (and plentiful). The gin distillery was breathtaking in its location and the tasting was a new experience for us. We struck up wonderful conversations with the other guests and would have continued much longer if we didn’t have to end on time. We were all pleased with the food also. Janis made it a wonderful experience and even made us dinner reservations and dropped us off so we could spend a little more time on the island. We highly recommend this trip!

What a great couple of tours, we did 2 half day tours and it allowed us to see a large chunk of the island. Both Jannis and Deb were wonderful guides with great knowledge and a passion for the island and the wines. We went to a Gin distillery and had a couple of lovely lunches. We were lucky that we were the only ones on one tour and only one other couple on the other as we came In their quiet season… very happy about that. I highly recommend this tour group for your Waiheke Island experience.
