You can explore the zoo at your own pace during its hours of operation. There are eight different ecological sections, including the Asian Tropical Forest, Subarctic Forest, Oceanian Grassland, Central Asian Highland, Japanese Countryside, Amazon Jungle, African Tropical Rainforest, and African Savanna.

Each section has animals whose homes are usually in each ecological zone, and all habitats are as close to their original habitat as possible. Catch a glimpse of polar bears, proboscis monkeys, okapi, and many other species at the zoo.

Your day at the Yokohama Zoo ends when you’re done exploring or at closing time.

• You cannot enter with a pet / pets. Admission with assistance dogs is possible, but there are places that you cannot see in part. Please check with the Information office.
• Do not collect plants and take animals in the park. Do not hurt them.
• Please do not hit the windows etc.
• Please do not shoot flash animals.
• Please do not bother the other customers
• Fireworks such as fireworks cannot be brought in.
• The following items cannot be brought in. *Playground equipment that may enter the exhibition area of animals by wind: balloons, soap bubbles, etc. *Outdoor playground equipment that is troublesome to other customers: balls, bat, racket, frisbee, kite, leapjumping, readio control (drone), etc. *You cannot use strollers and rides other that wheel chairs (including roller skaters, skateboards, kick boards, bicycles, tricycles, unicycles, including roller shoes). *Sounds such as instruments and whistles. *Tents (using stakes), tables, etc.

• Opening hours: 09:30 am ~ 16:30 (Ticket office closes at 16:00)
• Closed days: Every Tuesday (Wednesday if Tuesday is a Japanese public holiday), 29th December ~ 1st January
• This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
• This tour/activity will have a maximum of 15 travelers
