It was our first day on holiday and we wanted to go straight to Soweto. The tour was hard as it was a lot of ups and downs on old bicycles and rough streets and paths, but it was amazing! What a great way to experience the history of this country and meet the people. People were yelling hello to us as we went by on the bikes and encouraging us as we were going back up the hills. It was an experience we will never forget! Well worth the money and time!
My friend and I went out with Tumi and Lerato and had the best day! They took us around, gave us really interesting insight into Soweto's history and current life. They were super fun and adaptable to what we were interested in. This trip was honestly the highlight of our time in Joburg (save our friend's wedding). I cannot recommend this enough.
This was valuable with the caveat that one needs to be prepared for intense heat - remember to wear a full hat I just had a cap and total sunscreen. Surprisingly, lots of uphill biking on shouldn't have been surprising old bikes. But worth it all - I'll never forget it. So grateful for the fine young men escorting and explaining everything we saw. Thank you so much!
Fun Fun Fun is the best way to describe. Cycling around on very basic bikes on very interesting roads was quite an experience not for the faint hearted. Loved the little food places visited and very friendly neighborhood. Our guides were excellent highly recommend.
De fietsen waren slecht. Remmen niet goed. De gids kwam onderweg allemaal bekenden tegen en maakte regelmatig contact. Hij had overal vriendjes die weer iets wilde verdienen.
