Stop At: The Alhambra, Calle Real de la Alhambra, s/n Palacio de Carlos V, 18009 Granada Spain

The Alhambra, located on the Sabica hill, is an Andalusian palatine city.
Its name comes from the reddish colour of its walls, coming from the clay of the land itself (Al-Hamra in Arabic).
It is formed by a group of palaces, gardens and fortress where there was a citadel within the city of Granada itself, its main function was to serve as accommodation for the monarch and the court of the Nasrid Kingdom of Granada. There are also Christian settlements, such as the palace of Charles V and the church of Santa Maria, built on top of the old mosque.
It is one of the most visited monuments in Spain and was declared a World Heritage Site in 1984.
Enjoy the visit with an official guide.

Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Alcazaba, Calle Real de la Alhambra Conjunto Monumental de la Alhambra y el Generalife, 18009 Granada Spain

The Alcazaba is the oldest part of the Alhambra, from the Arabic: القصبة al-qaṣbah (citadel) was a fortified enclosure of urban character, whose function was to serve as royal residence to Mohamed I until the Palaces were finished, from there its function was purely military.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Palace of Carlos V, Alhambra, 18009 Granada Spain

Carlos V's palace is a Renaissance construction by the architect Pedro Machuca. The palace is unique in its style, forming a square with a circular courtyard inscribed inside. It is the most outstanding work of the Spanish Renaissance.

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Generalife Realejo-San Matias, 18009 Granada Spain

The Generalife is the villa with gardens used by the Muslim kings of Granada as a place of retreat and rest. It was conceived as a rural villa, where ornamental gardens, orchards and architecture were integrated in the vicinity of the Alhambra.
The name we give to the Generalife complex literally means Yannat al-Arif: "The Architect's Garden", an allusion to the gardens and orchards that supplied fruit and vegetables to the Nasrid court. However, the palace to which we are heading, designed as a resting place for the monarch, was what the poet Ibn al-Jayyab called "the royal house of happiness".

The generalife was beautiful and the views from the Alcazar were amazing. I feel going without a guide I would have missed many details and context. Our guide Leticia was very funny, informative, and attentive to our group. I'm sad I could not see the Nasarid palace but it gives me a reason to return

Alhambra is beautiful and worth a visit, but regardsless we expected more from the guided tour. He was mostly walking and talking at the same time, so it was difficult to listen to and understand what he talked about. It was more like rushing through to get finished. We used a long time to start and enter so it only lasted 1 hours and 40 minutes, even though it was supposed to last 2-4 hours (4 hours if Nasrid is included). The weather was bad with lots of rain, so that can be a reason to make the tour shorter, but the guide was still not enthusastic or engaged in telling stories. Besides the english was not that easy to understand. I have had much better experiences with different Free Tours earlier where the guides are interested in the experience of the people. For the price of the tour I expected more.

The people associated with this company need putting in jail. This company is a SCAM and they pretend to be the official website. I have paid for 2 tickets and have received NOTHING. I have been completely scammed by them and I will not get able to visit The Alhambra because of their lies and illegal practices. I urge you to beware of this appalling company

Great guide but this ticket is far too expensive and does not include Nasrid palace entrance. So not VFM.
