Our driver made everything easy. Gave some interesting information about Granada on our way out of the city. Passed us off to our guide for the hike and clearly explained, and was waiting for us, at the meeting point at the end of the hike. Gave adequate time before and after the hike for snacks/bathroom breaks. Made for a smooth and worry free day.
Caminito Del Rey is a nice walk. We has transport from Granada and back. Easy paths, some bolted into the side of the mountain. I am moderately height aware and did well. Our guide was informative and funny. Bring water and snacks.
The tour in itself was daring and breathtaking. Just when I thought this experience could not get better Miguel ( our driver from Granada) was very tentative and caring . He made sure my nephew was comfortable all the way
We had a perfect experience at the Caminito del Rey thanks to DiscoveringSpain. Carlos (our driver) was 10/10! He ensured a smooth journey and cut through the noise when we arrived (it was chaos at the entrance!), got us straight on a tour, gave some local tips and took us to another beautiful town on the way back to Granada. We had originally booked for a different day but needed to reschedule due to group numbers, which meant that the only day we could do the trip was the same day as our flight home. However, Carlos was happy to accommodate and drop us off at the airport in plenty of time on our way back, making the whole experience possible for us. Thanks again, Discovering Spain! Would definitely recommend this hike to anyone staying in Granada or Malaga!
We booked this tour on Feb 4 for an April 26 tour date. Notified via WhatsApp on April 25 that the tour was cancelled as the minimum number of people was not met. Completely annoyed that we were not told sooner, as we might have been able to self-organize. But the attraction is sold out, so we couldn’t go even if we wanted to. The ONE time I decide to pay extra for an organized tour so that I could simply show up and be shuttled around (as opposed to securing train/attraction tickets on own) and I’m left completely hanging. I plan meetings for a living, and was trying to take a vacation from being in charge of everything. Total disappointment from Trip Advisor/La Vacanza Travel and Discovering Spain/Anera Travel.
