Discover with us one of the most fun experiences in old Jeddah. Before naming it as the royal seaport for Makkah in 657 AD, the Al-Balad site, “Historic Jeddah”, was built on beautiful coastal land. The area has a fascinating history.

It was founded in the seventh century and was once the beating heart of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Balad can literally be translated as "The Town. We will Explore the old town and try some traditional dishes and go shopping in the bazaar.

Itinerary:

3. Grabbing local beverages in an old cafe.
4. Visiting Al Shafei's old mosque.
5. Visiting Biet Nassif.

Stop At: Al Shafei Mosque, Qabel Trail, Jeddah 7061 Saudi Arabia

This mosque is situated in the narrow alleys of old Jeddah town off Suq Al Alawi. The mosque looks like a more recent construction but the site has been used as a mosque since c. 1000 AD.

Me and my wife came to the F1 grand prix and took the tour. I would highly recommend this tour. Our tour guy Adil was a amazing person, really knowledgeable attention to all details of the tour and extremely personable. Came to Jeddah knowing nothing about Saudi and left with a friend and like I been here multiple times. Totally impressed with the town and hospitality.

I had a great time on the half day Al Balad Tour. Adil was a phenomenal guide - he knew Al Balad inside out, with interesting facts behind many of the historical buildings and being a good local, he made good recommendations on what to see/do/eat too! I had a great time conversing with him for the half day, and listening to his stories about Jeddah and the excitement he shares for the future of the city and Saudi in general. The coordination with the team from start to finish was impeccable; everything was communicated clearly and my questions answered very promptly from the moment I reached out to them. Kudos to the entire team - keep up the great work!
