The boat is one of a few which has the floating monument status in Amsterdam. Due to its historic character, built in 1912, earlier serving as a passenger transport boat between East and West Germany, this boat has unique history.

    The boat was charming and intimate. The heat was a challenge as breeze in boat is limited so best to go on cooler days. The cruise is intimate with Captain answering questions but to be clear it is NOT a history cruise by any means which we misunderstood. Unless you ask questions little information is offered about beautiful historic Amsterdam. That was a disappointment for us as the cruise was intended to be the launchpad to our visit.

    What an amazing discovery! We had an absolutely amazing afternoon on the canals with Carl. The Undine is a stunning boat, and Carl is the perfect guide, fun, personable and very knowledgeable. Thank you for the delicious late lunch too! The afternoon felt like the best boat day out with a friend, rather than a business transaction. Thank you Carl for your hospitality and a memorable, fun afternoon on the canals! We will certainly be back!

    The boat is truly stunning! Impeccable cabin upkeep and exquisite decor add to its charm. Joost, our driver, excelled as a gracious host, displaying remarkable kindness. We enjoyed a distinctive experience by collecting dinner from a restaurant during the journey, and the food was exceptional. The thoughtful extra touches they provided were truly remarkable. Undoubtedly, investing in this trip was absolutely worthwhile.

    After reading the reviews we decided to book. The private canal cruise with Captain Carl did not disappoint!!! We found the previous reviews spot on! Because of the smaller vessel we were able to venture into smaller, quieter more intimate canals! The experience was a gentle mix of leisure and luxury. Carl was very personable and professional. We loved every minute and will book again on our next trip to Amsterdam!
