We came here as part of an iamsterdam card. We came in a group of 14 with 8 children. The lady who we seen on arrival was rude beyond words! Barely spoke, when we clearly were confused about the set up. Once we were served she was ruder still. I collected 5 tickets for my family and 1 for a friend who was with us. She didn’t realise we needed a ticket to get in. Upon asking for her ticket from the lady she was spoken to abruptly and told, and I quote,” YOU walked off and I wasn’t running after you”! An “excuse me you need a to wait for your ticket” would of been sufficient! I actually would of asked for my money back if it wasn’t part of the card. Disgraceful!

I've been before as I got my engagement ring here so popped back but found the staff a bit off this time. The person who greeted us went to a very well dressed woman on a tour first and seemed pit out it was us who wanted help. He then asked if we wanted to stay downstairs while they did some work on my ring but we asked if we could go upstairs and he agreed. We were offered a drink but felt the while time he was not happy with us there. My first visit we spent a lot of money but I wanted to get a plain wedding band but I'm not sure he understood so I gave up. Everyone was pleasant but the initial disappointment in his look ruined this repeat visit for me.

Both the Heineken Experience and The Blue Boat Tour were very informative. Relaxing and at your own pace.

It would have been interesting to have learnt more about the cutting and polishing process involved in diamonds - which I was expecting to discover - but the visit was more about viewing different types of diamonds and then viewing diamond products. My wife bought a watch that was very nice, and the multi-lingual sales staff were informative. However, I think there should be more emphasis on education in the first half of the visit and reviewing products in the second half (which might also encourage more sales).

If you have a remote interest in diamonds, there’s nothing new you would have learned here. Not a word about blood diamond or even the process of making synthetic diamond. The only thing I’ve learned is that Amélie Mauresmo was the only winner of the Diamond Racquet! This is not surprising, because this museum is founded by a diamond polishing firm called Coster, that wants to lure you to go into the sales trap next door!
