This is a must do class if you are in Colombo , if you want to connect with the culture please book it. Pium and her husband and even her parents are amazing very welcoming and cheerful. I learned a lot of Sri Lankan spices and local cuisine. The food was just wow , incredible . Thank you ♥️
great experience with super nice people in a real sri lankan home, we cooked a lot of different dishes. Its was my boyfriends birthday and our hosts even got him a small cake. You will not regret booking this.
My friend and I joined the dinner time cooking class and were welcomed into the lovely home of Piumi, along with the her husband and father who assisted in making the experience warming and faultless. It was a truly unforgettable evening, learning all about the different local organic vegetables and home-made spices before diving into the preparation of the authentic Sri-Lankan feast (approx 10 dishes + rice + roti). Tasting the foods as they were being prepared was a highlight for us, making us even more excited for the delicious meal that was to come. My friend is also vegan and this didn’t restrict the options at all. The experience was both fun and educational. 10/10, couldn’t recommend it or the family enough!
A incredible, authentic, Sri Lankan cooking experience. Really enjoyed learning lots about Sri Lankan spices and cooking techniques in a very welcoming family home. Highly recommend for anyone considering a cooking course. Lots of yummy food !
Very interesting insight into Sri Lankan life and the important role food and cooking plays in daily life. Piumi is an excellent cook and teacher. I’m vegetarian and she showed me how to prepare and cook ten different vegetarian curries and the resulting lunch was delicious. Can very highly recommend this tour.
