Enjoy an indepth description of the entire religious center of Florence in the company of an experienced and selected local guide during a splendid 50-minute walking tour and then climb on your own to the top of Brunelleschi's dome to admire Florence skyline from its highest building.

At the end of the guided tour, your guide will accompany right to the fast-track entrance for your memorable dome climb experience and will give you the ticket with its reservation.

What Can You Expect?

Visit: Duomo - Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore, Via della Canonica, 1 Piazza del Duomo, 50122, Florence Italy

Please reach Piazza San Giovanni outside Farmacia S. Antonino next to Caffé Scudieri 5 minutes prior to tour departure. Your guide will extensively describe the religious center of Florence and inform you about opening times of all monuments and museum visitable with the ticket provided to you. Baptistery, Cathedral, Santa Reparata, socalled Crypt, Giotto's Belltower and the splendid Museo dell'Opera del Duomo.
You'll learn how to best use your time and avoid lines. Ticket is valid at least 48 hours after your dome climb!

After this educational walking tour of some 45 minutes, your guide will accompany you to the correct Cupola Climb admission entrance and stay with you until you'll be admitted inside the Duomo and start climbing step 1, step 2...etc. etc. Enjoy!

Claudio was a great guide. It was a very informative tour and easy to hear the guide with the provided radio/earphone. The tour was only outside and he explained things thoroughly. At the end the the climb was not easy and tight in places (I'm 6'4" and hit my head twice even though I was ducking)...but the view was spectacular (we lucked out with perfect weather).

Our guide was well educated and a gentleman. The Dome climb is not for the faint hearted, but very well worth the exhausting climb.

Maurizio was a fabulous tour guide. We learned a lot about the Duomo and Florence in general. After the tour we climbed Brunelleschi's Dome (included in the ticket), which offers amazing views. We ran out of time that day for the rest of the self-guided activities included in the ticket, but thankfully it's good for a few days so we climbed the bell tower the following day. Highly recommend!

Cancelled the tour last minute apparently and when I arrived at meeting point there was no one there — despite my voucher and everything on the La Vacanza Travel booking still saying “confirmed”.. waited until the time the tour was supposed to start and after finally getting in contact w/ someone at the office was told the passes were sold out for the day so we didn’t get to visit the dome inside as it was our last day in Florence.

Steps to dome are challenging! View was great. Guide was average compared to come of the other tours.
