Excepcional experience to see such an icon of history. Patricia our guide was excellent. She has a vast knowledge of the area and the history with a little touch of humor. Enjoy every minute of this tour. Highly recommended to all.

This was the worst tour guide I've ever had. I was up to 6 errors before I stopped listening. She said that Brunelleschi designed the Palazzo Medici Riccardi. He didn't. She said that the Medici lived there for 300 years. They didn't. She said that the reason that Brunelleschi was such a brilliant architect was that he was trained as a goldsmith; that is one of the most ridiculous statements I've ever heard. She claimed that Ghiberti was also an architect. He wasn't. I hope no one was paying attention. I can understand a guide not knowing facts about Florence, but I can't understand how a guide can just make stuff up. We signed up for this tour because it claimed to get you inside the Duomo is 20 minutes. It took 45 minutes.

When we arrived to pick up our tickets we were offered an upgrade to include additional items. Though we didn't have time for all of them, we did take advantage of climbing the Bell Tower, which was more amazing than expected. The tour itself was historical info and only within the Duomo. It was over in the hour noted and we were free to continue on our own at our pace.

We were instructed to meet our host at a specific location and that ot would be clearly marked with signage. No sign was present, and I was approached by a man asking if we had a booking. I told him I booked through La Vacanza Travel, and he asked to see my voucher. I showed him the voucher on my phone, and he tried to take the phone from my hand to look at it. This was a very uncomfortable interaction. He also told my husband he could not take his backpack inside, and wanted him to leave it in another store, unlocked. Luckily, our daughter is staying up the street, so we had time to leave the backpack at her apartment. There were others in our group that had bags and backpacks with them the entire time. I booked a self guided tour, with skip the line, and a brief description before entering. We were put with a group for a guided tour, which I specifically did not book, as we did not have time in our schedule. I informed the contact person, as well as the guide, that we were in the wrong group, but we were nit given a choice to leave the group and enter on our own. Our tickets to enter were for 2:45, and we did not enter until 4:05. Had very little time to walk around and see the cathedral, as we had other plans that evening. Disappointed
