A half day hike in the Sinharaja virgin rainforest, will take you through the thick canopy of trees along forest trails to the Kekuna Ella waterfall where there is a deep pool for swimming.
An easy level trail will take 3 - 4 hours and you will be out of the jungle before lunch. Travelers should expect some torrential rain from time to time and leeches are in abundance during the rainy season, but proper clothing will protect you from the leeches.
Please bring swimmers for the waterfall swim and insect repellent as required. Due to the pristine balanced ecosystem, there are no mosquitoes in the forest!
This tour is suitable for elderly travelers and families with kids to experience a true rainforest environment.
