Kayak Tour of the Turquoise Lake Brienz

Itinerary

Our half day tours run regularly throughout the summer months and are suitable for all abilities. Our tours start in Bönigen on Lake Brienz where we travel across the River Lütschine, heading towards the north shore, exploring beautiful cliffs, the 12th century Ringgenberg castle and hidden beaches along the way. Your guide will offer instruction on how to develop your paddling skills and will also capture your experience with lots of photos to show to your friends and family back home.

Evening Tours: The evening is a special time of the day where the lake calms down again and the sun starts to set. There's always a special calming atmosphere in the evening, perfect for photos and a relaxing way to end the day. The evening tour follows the same itinerary as the half day tour above.

The session lasts 3 hours, of which we spend around 2 hours on the water. Our summer tours run from May until October. When the water temperature gets colder we start our winter tours (with drysuits) in October/November.

• Children 11 and younger are not allowed.

• You do not need previous kayaking experience, but you must be able to handle a kayak on your own.
• Near public transportation
• If you have back, neck, lower back, joint or muscular problems, you should carefully consider whether or not to participate.
• You should bring swimsuit, change of clothes, waterproof footwear, sunglasses, sun hat, sunscreen, a bottle of water, and snacks.
• Not recommended for travelers with back problems
• No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
• Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
• Hand sanitizer available to travelers and staff
• Social distancing enforced throughout experience
• Regularly sanitized high-traffic areas
• Gear/equipment sanitized between use
• Guides required to regularly wash hands
