Kandy to Polonnaruwa Day Tour

Itinerary

We will pick you from any hotel in Kandy and leave for Polonnaruwa.

First we will be visiting the Thuparama in Polonnaruwa. This is one of the few buildings where you can see a roof made completely out of bricks.

Next we will be going to the Vatadage. The Medirigiriya vatadageya is one of the mostly preserved vatadage in Sri Lanka.

Next we will visit the Nisshanka Latha Mandapaya which is located in the Polonnaruwa Dalada Maluwa where the Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha was located in the Polonnaruwa period.

Finally we visit the Shiva Devalaya which is located in Polonnaruwa old city between Royal Palace complex and the sacred Quadrangle.

Then we return back to Kandy.

Traveler pickup is offered
The Departure time is around 7:00am. However, we would vary this time depending on the guests request. But we suggest that the Departure time be before at least 10:00am so that we can slowly complete all stops in the itinerary without rushing.

In-order for the guide / driver to reach the pick-up location (must be in Kandy), please provide the stay details at least 1 hour prior to departure time.
