Overview

Everest Base Camp Trek gives you an opportunity to visit some of the high-altitude destinations that only a handful of world’s population ever gets to visit. Following the footsteps of Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay, trek along the foothills of Himalayan mountains including the world’s highest, Mount Everest (8,848 m). Stand beneath their massive shadows and feel humbled. En route experience Sherpa hospitality and culture, Buddhist spiritualism (the trails are adorned with mani stones, chortens and colorful prayer flags) and amazing mountain scenery.

NOTE: The Lukla flights to and from Kathmandu had been shifted to Manthali Airport, Ramechhap district in 2019 & 2020 due to heavy air traffic during peak trekking season (Mar, Apr, May, Oct, Nov). But, for now, the flights are directly between Kathmandu and Lukla. Extra cost would be applicable if airlines don't provide any shuttle services or if you want to take a private vehicle instead of the shared ride provided by the airlines.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,400 m)

Stop At: Ace the Himalaya, Thamel, A One Business Complex, Second Floor, Kathmandu 44600 Nepal

But if you arrive earlier than 4 pm, your pre-trip meeting would be on that very day at our office. During the meeting, we will introduce your trek leader/guide. For the meeting, please make sure you bring the passport, three copies of passport-size photos and a readable copy of your travel insurance policy. During this meeting, please clear the due balance, if any, and sign the legally binding trip form as well as the non-liability disclaimer.

I couldn't have asked for a better Trip organiser. Ace the Himalaya aced the organisation, service and were very caring and available at every instance. Trek Guide Pasang and Rajendra went a step ahead and provides top notch service and attention to each and every member of our group and were available for every kind of need raised during the trip. Every guide were down to earth and took care of us and motivated us to complete the EBC trek. I can't thank enough to Sere and Sunny the assistant guides who were equally involved and ensured each of our members had their undivided attention to service every time. ATH also ensured that we had a comfortable stay at every location and were very flexible towards customer arrangements and requests, where the team at ATH went out of the way to provide the service requested by the members. I would rate 10 out 10 at every aspect to Ace the Himalaya for successfully managing and ensuring that we as a huge group with 24 members completed EBC and returned safely and healthy.

Just back from the most amazing EBC trek with Ace the Himalaya. Everything was organised so smoothly from start to finish - we were always so well looked after. Milan, our guide, went above and beyond our expectations - looking out for everyone and always with such professionalism, generosity and patience. On top of all that, always with a smile on his face. Shout out to our assistant guides Hari and Santos as well as Ting Ting and the rest of the porters who tirelessly carried our bags. Would definitely recommend doing the EBC trek with Ace and hope to be back to do others with them in the near future!

This trek was 9 months in the making. We were a group of 24 and all of us had a great and memorable experience. This wouldn’t have been possible without Acethehimalaya. As I was coordinating on behalf this group, I was in constant touch with Prem from Acethehimalaya and was amazed at his promptness in responding to probably over 100 questions I may have asked over the last 9 months. The guides (Pasang and Rajendra) and the assistant guides (sherha and sunny) were simply awesome. We became so close that in a couple of days they became one among us. All 4 put together had over 50 yrs of EBC experience and this came in handy at every stage of the trek. They looked after us like how an elder brother would take care of their younger sibling. Their knowledge of the EBC trek was second to none and at the same time one of the guides RAj is a qualified pharmacist who was able to provide us with the required medication to the ones who were battling altitude sickness and took extreme care of each one of us. I strongly recommend Acethehimalaya for every single adventure they offer. I am definitely coming back to do both Gokyo and Annapurna base camp.

This trek is one of the must do - bucket list - once in a lifetime items that everyone needs to do at some stage. The team from ACE really do make it easier and help you all the way. From the booking team to the Guides & porters on the tour. My Guide was Nimesh who was excellent - and with Porters Birkaji and Dil they really made it enjoyable for us all. Nothing was an issue, and there were always there to help. ACE have a 100% successful rates for their guests - so no matter the level of your fitness - you will be in safe hands with these guys.
