This is the 2nd largest mosque in Oman, named after the late sultan. The mosque has a separate praying place for the males and females. Can stop at the mosque if you want to pray there.
Stop At: Nizwa Souk, City Center Close to the fort, Nizwa 611 Oman
It is one of the oldest souks in the country. This souk has craft, food and livestock markets. Nizwa is particularly famous for crafting the silver khanjar (traditional curved dagger). There is a Goat Market, home to Nizwa's famous Friday Market where locals come to trade livestock-cows and goats in particular-which is sold by auction.
