This was the highlight of our trip. We had a Pompeii archeologist lead our tour. Ancient history could not have been more real and entertaining. Highly recommend. Make sure you are ready to cover some uneven stone paths. It was a great workout! Really fun!!

100% stress free trip. The driver Giovanni was waiting for us right outside our hotel room with a sign holding our name. He made a nice trip extra enjoyable. Could not have asked for a better way to go from Naples to Sorrento!

Our driver who picked us up from the Naples train station was on time and seemed like a great guy. The problem we had was the title of the tour said “private transfer from Naples to Sorrento with tour of Pompeii” when it was a drop off at Pompeii and we were on our own to walk through Pompeii without any guide! If we had known we would have hired a driver for just the transfer to Sorrento and later would have hired a private guide for Pompeii!

I would recommend this to anyone who is traveling from Naples to Pompeii and then to Sorrento in one day. This is a MUCH better option than the transit system between these stops, especially the train between Naples and Pompeii as it is always crowded and does not have AC. When we arrived to the Napoli Centrale station, we were greeted by our driver holding a sign with our name, which made it very easy to find him. He helped us carry our luggage to his car, which was a cozy black Mercedes sedan. Our driver dropped us off right at the Pompeii site entrance and picked us up there 2 hours later. Our Pompeii tour ran a little long, but our driver was very understanding. During our ride from Pompeii to Sorrento, our driver even offered to stop on the side of the rode as we came upon the coast to take photos of the scenery. He dropped us off at the front of our hotel in Sorrento. The entire trip was easy and one less stressor while traveling. Well worth the money!
