This is our second trip to Paris and our second visit to the Eiffel Tower, but this time with a guided tour. Our guide, Melanie, was really wonderful. She gave us a lot of information about the tower’s history and upkeep! The climb to the 2nd platform is 115 meters, accomplished by climbing 674 stairs. This sounds really daunting, but it is totally doable! The stairs are well paced, and there are lots of intermediate platforms where you can stop and take a breather…. Again, Melanie was great. She encouraged the group, assured everyone that they should take their time, and brought up the rear ensuring the whole group made it to each platform. Once we made it to the first platform we had some time to wander, explore, get a snack, etc, and then we continued to the 2nd floor. Once here, Melanie took time to show us points of interest throughout Paris, a.answered any questions we had and offered to play photographer for our group. We did not opt to take the elevator to the very top, but that is an add on option for those thrill seekers, lol. All in all it was a great experience and I would highly recommend this tour, as we really did learn so much more about the tower itself than just doing this on our own.

It was amazing tour. The tour guy was brilliant. Amazing views at the top. The weather didn't spoil the day despite raining and wind on and off.
Well organised with informative guide, clear instructions on joining the group and very easy to follow giving us plenty of time to climb to the first level.
