Our photographer absolutely MADE this experience a good experience! Ksenia was kind, patient and had an expert eye in helping us into flattering poses. She new all the quite places in Venice to take us so our photos had amazing lighting and views, but were also free of other tourists. I would HIGHLY recommend her to capture some amazing memories of your trip to Venice!

I stumbled across Ksenia back when I was planning our dream trip to Italy in 2019 pre-pandemic. She was wonderful to communicate with, and very accommodating to our schedule. We booked, and I sent a deposit. Covid hit and our trip was cancelled, not 1,2 but 3 times. After our first cancellation, Ksenia said to let her know whenever we would be able to make it to Italy. After three years I never expected her to honour our deposit. Once our 2023 dates were finalized, I sent an email, and she responded right away. I honestly was shocked and surprised. Ksenia suggested meeting in a quieter part a Venice. The entire experience was amazing. We got to see parts of the city we otherwise wouldn't have and received far more pictures than we were expecting. The photos were amazing, capturing our dream trip to perfection. ~Thansk you so much Ksenia

Long story short. She might be a good photographer, but I doubt she really cares much about her clients… --------------------- On October 13, I set up the date for a surprise proposal photoshoot 3 weeks later with Ksenia, according to her specific availability. Ksenia emailed me that she could do 11am or 330pm on November 3, 2023. I picked 330pm, immediately paid her the deposit she asked for and went ahead to set up the rest of my November 3 2023 morning – purchasing 2 tickets to a tower in Venice at 930am and museums at 11am. The plan was to do touristy stuff in the morning and wander around until we got to the location where Ksenia would covertly take photographs of the proposal. --------------------- However, only 3 days before I was to leave for the trip from the U.S. to Italy, Ksenia abruptly changed plans and said she could only do November 3 before noon. As you'd imagine, there was no way I could change the 930am and 11am tickets, as there were no spaces left (nowadays you need to reserve everything in Italy weeks to months beforehand). Ksenia gave me no other options other than the new 12 noon time, and abruptly cancelled. She did not state if she could do November 4 or 5, or set me up with a friend photographer who could help out, or anything else. It was a straight-to-the-point cancellation with no regard for the situation she herself placed me in. This was to be literally a surprise proposal – in another country on the other side of the planet – to the person I want to get married to. This was not a favor, nor did I receive any type of discount or anything. I actually found her on this Tripadvisor review site, so I believed I had done my homework. --------------------- In literally 2 days (just before leaving to Italy) I had to rush to find another company to help with this. Due to the short notice, 6 companies said they were not available. One company said they were only available at 8am on November 3. I then had to figure out how to make up a story as to why I needed to wake up my significant other very early to eat breakfast at 730 and rush 30 minutes north of the hotel at 8am to a non-tourist area (prior to our 930am tower visit). --------------------- The stress due to the abrupt cancellation and rush to find someone last minute was over the top. I read online about people that have set up photoshoots with their S.O. while travelling just for fun, noting that there would be a lot more suspicion as to the possibility of a proposal. I really had no option, because of the time constraints… so I made up a story about my employer randomly paying for a photoshoot with a family member in Venice (I have no idea what else I could have made up on the spot). Sadly, the new 8am "work" photoshoot pretty much ruined the complete surprise of this proposal, as my significant other was now suspicious that it was really a surprise proposal (as she told me later on). Her whole family was basically telling her that I would probably propose during the photoshoot because it was so out-of-pocket. In the end, the proposal went well with another photographer, who has been excellent. I’m thinking about hiring him again for the wedding. --------------------- It's up to you if you want to take a chance on hiring Ksenia, but make a list of other alternatives as well.

We are delighted with the phots Kensia took of us in Venice. We began at St. Mark's Square at sunrise and then explored back alleys and more intimate spots. Kesenia knew the best spots for photos, including small bridges, soft lighting, and brilliant colors. She was also a delightful guide. As a more mature couple, Kesenia helped me feel at ease. My favorite part of our photos is that they capture the "essence" of Venice. This photo shoot a splurge for us, but I am so grateful we chose Kesenia. Our photos will be treasured keepsakes.
