Join us for a remarkable and spectacular demonstration of the Glass Masters of "The Glass Cathedral" which is dedicated to the love of working with Murano Glass. The most complete glass blowing demonstration on the island of Murano surrounded in a one of a kind ambiance ( inside a former XIIth century Church which was a glass factory already in 1826). You will be surrounded by soft music and the beautiful works of Murano Glass.  Here, you will be able to observe the masters at work  and watch as they create two original pieces before your eyes.   The demonstration is 25 minutes long and you may be able to sip a good glass of Prosecco or have a drink while enjoying your stay with us.

Fun and informative performance. Interesting recording on the history of the building and the business. The "Maestro" glassmaker didn't talk his way through what he was doing, but it was interesting and pretty clear anyway. We had a great time

Perfect way to see glass blowing. There are, apparently, lots of places on Murano that offer tours of their studios/workshops. But some of the reviews I read made me think that I would be put under pressure to buy pieces of glass in return for going on the tour. At the Glass Cathedral, the entire experience was interesting, enjoyable, and stress free. And there is no pressure to buy anything, although the pieces on offer are excellent. Our children enjoyed it. In fact our 8 year old ranked it as his favourite activity in Venice (just above a gondola ride).

This was so well done! I felt inspired by the skill of the glass maker. Initially there is a good voice over explaining the building and its journey to become a glass manufacturer and then an explanation of why glass came to Murano in the first place. When the demonstration begins properly there is a music track to accompany, what becomes almost performance art. I was engrossed as were the other people around me. The glass blower really engaged with the children in the audience and their obvious enjoyment at the magic of it all was heart warming. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole process

A stunning and unique building to look around before/after the glass blowing demonstration. The glass blowing was amazing and a recorded audio was very interesting and helpful. We were shown more than one glass item being made, giving a full appreciation of the skills involved.
