The Burj Al Arab is definitely one of the most famous landmarks in Dubai and a top tourist attraction in Dubai, which is noticeable with its sailboat-shaped silhouette that emerges from the sea. When it opened in 1999, the hotel declared itself the first seven-star hotel in the world, though such rating does not exist in technical terms.

But one thing is for sure—it is “over the top” in every possible way! As you can see, the graceful structure is to Dubai the same way the Eiffel Tower is to Paris. Sitting on an artificial island, this iconic landmark comes with everything luxurious, from a fleet of chauffeur-driven Rolls Royce limousines to suites that only a few in the world can afford.

Getting Into the Burj Al Arab

The question of being able to visit or stay in Burj Al Arab would immediately receive a response that carries the big problem of the horrendous cost that comes with it. As most people know, the hotel is only for paying guests, and gawkers are not allowed.

But aside from paying for a stay, which is expensive, there are other ways to get into this high-end hotel. If you are not booking a room, then you need to make a restaurant reservation to get inside. You can spend for a cocktail or an afternoon or high tea at one of its bars.

It is definitely worth visiting this hotel. While you see that the exterior is gorgeous, wait until you its interiors. When you enter it, you will see the mood set in a 180-meter high lobby, which is decorated in a green, blue and red color scheme, with pillars draped in golden leaves as accent. It atrium is so tall that it is enough to fit the Statue of Liberty in it.

Afternoon and High Tea

You can enjoy afternoon and high tea at the Skyview Bar, which is located on the top floor of the hotel, offering unmatched views of the World Islands and the Palm Jumeirah. An afternoon tea will offer you a great selection of tea, coffee, cakes, pastries and sandwiches that are served with a selection of delicious homemade jams and mouth-watering cream.

Aside from the Skyview Bar, you can also have afternoon or high tea at Sahn Eddar, which is located at the base of the hotel’s atrium. Here, you can enjoy such a drink in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. You can enjoy this along with three courses of delectable beverages and culinary delights.

Other Activities That You Can Do

Knowing that your Dubai vacation time is precious, it will be well spent at the Burj Al Arab. Whatever you want to do for a good time, the hotel offers a wide range of activities that will keep you satisfied. With easy access to the largest mall in the world and a long stretch of sandy beach, there will be plenty of things to capture your imagination.
